What exactly is JobScribe?
A mobile app for solo tradies. It lets you capture site notes, photos and measurements on the job, then turn them into a professional quote and send it before you leave. Quotes convert to invoices in one tap, with Xero sync live.
Who is it built for?
Primarily solo tradies: electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, handymen. Anyone who visits a site, does the assessment, and needs to get a quote out fast without going back to the office to do it.
How is it different from other invoicing apps?
Most invoicing apps are built for the office. You take notes somewhere, come home and retype everything into the app. JobScribe is built for the site. Notes and measurements flow directly into the quote. No rebuilding, no retyping. The measurement detection feature (where the app spots things like "12m" or "4h" in your notes and lets you tap them into the quote) is something no other tradie app does.
Does it work with Xero?
Yes. Xero sync is live. Connect your Xero account in Settings, invoices push automatically and payment status pulls back in real time. Takes about 60 seconds to set up.
iPhone or Android?
Both. JobScribe is a mobile-first web app, open it in your browser on any iPhone or Android. No app store required. Add it to your home screen for a native app experience.
Does it handle GST?
Yes. Toggle GST on during setup, it's applied automatically to every quote and invoice. Your ABN appears on every document. No manual calculations.

Is there a free trial?

Do I need to be online to use it?
You can capture notes, photos and measurements on site without a connection, and they'll be there when you're back online. Sending quotes and invoices and syncing to Xero need an internet connection.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your data is encrypted and stored on secure Australian servers in the Sydney region. We never sell your data.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from Settings in a couple of taps. There's no lock-in contract, and you keep access until the end of your billing period.
